Injectable Dermal Filler for Removing Lines and Wrinkles or Enhancing Lips
Dermal filler is an injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your skin. Dermal filler is used to restore volume to the skin and smooth away lines and wrinkles. Dermal filler is also used for lip enhancement.
Caci uses a smooth filler called Juvederm® with the addition of 0.3% lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that provides more comfort both during and after injection.
What is Dermal Filler?
Juvederm, the type of dermal filler used by Caci, is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration.
Dermal filler helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds - the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).
What does Dermal Filler treatment involve?
Your Cosmetic Nurse Specialist eases the injectable dermal filler gel into the skin using a fine needle. The treatment area may be numbed to minimise any discomfort.
The injection process only takes around 15 minutes and results typically last up to 12 months.

How is Dermal Filler different from Botox®?
Dermal filler is an injectable gel that provides volume and is used to treat wrinkles and folds resulting from a loss of volume beneath the surface of the skin such as perioral lines and nasolabial folds (lines around your mouth and nose). Dermal filler is also used for lip enhancement. Botox® is not a filler. Botox® relaxes muscle activity and is used to treat moderate to severe lines caused by repeated facial expressions.
