How does the Laser Hair Removal work?

The laser lamplight passes through the skin. It is then absorbed by the pigment (colour) within the hair shaft and hair follicle. This generates heat, which loosens the hair and disables the hair forming cells.

What does the treatment involve?

The high energy pulsed light beam is pulsed through a gel directly onto the area with unwanted hair. The gel provides both protection, and conduction of the light to the targeted area. The light creates energy and heat within the pigmented hair and hair producing cells. The hair is then loosened and inhibited from growth. Because the pulsed light has a large hand-held treatment head, the targeted area can be treated in minimal time. The level of discomfort varies between individuals and the different areas being treated, but most clients there is sensation at all.There is usually some form of skin response post treatment, normally a mild redness.
