Whether itโ€™s with friends, whฤnau, or our workmates, building strong communities helps support our mental wellbeingย

Each day this week is dedicated to a special celebration โ€“ here is how weโ€™re spending our week:ย

Manaaki Monday

Start the week off with an act of kindness.

On the first day of MHAW, take some time out of your day to help someone in a small but meaningful way. Even one simple thing, like making a loved one a cup of tea or holding a door open for a stranger, can create a chain reaction of kindness that uplifts the whole community.

You never know whatโ€™s happened in someoneโ€™s day, sometimes simple acts of kindness can make a big impact.

Tautoko Tuesday

Today we encourage you to support local!

In our big world of endless options, we sometimes miss what is right on our doorstep. The past few years have been tough on small neighbourhood business or community organization, and the people running them.

Caci is a proudly New Zealand owned business, with each of our clinics being locally owned. Building relationships with our communities is an integral part of our day-to-day. Taking care of yourself is not just about skin, but your mind and confidence too.

How can you support local; why not swap the Starbucks for your local coffee shop? donate clothes, toys or books to your local charity or show some love to your community faves by posting a positive review online.

Whฤnau Wednesday

Feeling connected to others is strongly associated with better wellbeing, because it gives us a sense of meaning, safety, support and purpose. Give yourself - and your loved ones - a mid-week boost, by reaching out to a friend or family member you would like to catch up with.

Send a text, share a meal, go for a walk! Check in with your loved ones today.

Tลซhono Thursday

When was the last time you met someone new? With technology on the rise, social interactions are becoming less frequent. Take some time today to connect with someone in your community that you donโ€™t usually talk to. Building relationships with people who live in your community can create a supportive network, right at your doorstep.

Skip the self-check-out and chat to a cashier. Heading into clinic for a treatment? Our friendly team are always up to chat!

Whakawhetai Friday

What better way to finish off the week, than by saying thank you to someone in your community? Spread some good vibes by showing your gratitude today - it could be to the courier driver, to a local volunteer, or to a workmate or neighbourโ€ฆanyone who helps make your community what it is.

Our key message this week is not to underestimate the power of positive connections - no matter how big or small.

At Caci, we hear many stories about positive bonds between our skin therapists and customers. We are proud to know that our clinics and team feel like a safe environment where you can feel good from the outside-in!

Keep talking x
