Sunekos FAQ's
What Is Sunekos?
Sunekos is an injectable skin booster that combines low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a patented amino acid blend. It is designed to improve skin quality, hydration, elasticity, and structure, and is especially suited for delicate or thin skin areas such as under the eyes.
How Does Sunekos Work?
Sunekos works through a multi-action approach to rejuvenate the skin. It deeply hydrates by using hyaluronic acid to bind water molecules, while amino acids support regeneration by providing essential building blocks for collagen and elastin synthesis. This combination stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, enhancing skin firmness and improving texture. Specifically formulated for delicate areas like the under-eye region, Sunekos targets common concerns such as dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and dullness. It improves brightness, elasticity, and overall skin quality with minimal downtime, making it ideal for thin, sensitive skin.
What Is Sunekos Used For?
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Loss of elasticity and crepey skin
- Pigmentation
- Skin quality and hydration
- Dark under eye circles
- Hollowing under the eyes
What Does Sunekos Feel Like? Does It Hurt?
The injection process is quick and the needles are small and fine, so the discomfort is kept to a minimum. Most customers describe the treatment as being a bit uncomfortable with a slight stinging sensation rather than painful.
What Happens At A Sunekos Treatment?
At Caci we offer free consultations where you have the opportunity to discuss the treatment in full and we cover your medical history. After your free consultation, you will be booked in for an appointment to be treated. One of our Caci Registered Nurses eases the Sunekos into your skin using a fine needle. The injection process takes around 15 minutes. Our treatment plan involves 3 sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart to achieve the best results.
Is Sunekos Suitable For Me?
Sunekos is suitable for most people to improve skin quality and treat fine wrinkles, crepey skin, dark circles and undereye hollowing.
At Caci, your safety is our priority and we do not use cosmetic injectables if people are planning to be, or pregnant, breastfeeding, or while infection is present. Customers with neuro-musclular transmission disorders, glaucoma and other medical conditions or a history of Anaphylaxis will also not be treated.
If you suffer from Periorbital oedema (such as from hayfever) or have excessive upper lid laxity, you will not be suitable for Sunekos. We are also cautious around other treatments such as dental work or microblading or if you will be travelling in the near future.
Who Will Perform My Sunekos Treatment?
At Caci, our cosmetic injectable treatments, such as Sunekos, are only performed by qualified and highly trained Registered Nurses, so you can rest assured you're in safe hands.
How Long Does Sunekos Last?
You will see results after your first session, with optimal results achieved after the 3 sessions. Results can last up to 1 year before a new course is recommended.
Does Sunekos Have Any Side Effects?
There are some common side effects such as redness, swelling, or small bumps after treatment, usually resolving within 24–72 hours and there is a chance of bruising, itching or skin sensitivity could occur. Other possible side effects could include Vascular compromise (very rare), infection or allergic reaction to the product (rare), and possible skin pigmentation changes.
A very rare but potential side effect of Sunekos is tissue necrosis or tissue death. This rare complication occurs when blood vessels around the injection site become 'blocked' and stop blood flow. Early intervention is vital to avoid this happening. Please contact your clinic if you see signs of duskiness or grey patches, pustules or unusual skin changes which may/may not be associated with pain.
What Is The Sunekos Pre And Post Treatment Care Advice?
Before your treatment
- Plan your schedule. The great thing about Sunekos is that most people can resume daily activities after treatment. However, if it is your first treatment why not plan for a time when you can go home after and pamper yourself!
- Inject in advance. If you have a big event coming up make sure your appointment is at least 2 weeks beforehand to get the full effect of your Sunekos treatment.
- Exercise before treatment. We recommend avoiding any strenuous exercise for at least 24-48 hours post treatment, so get that gym session/workout in beforehand!
- Relax and enjoy. You may be a little nervous before your injectable treatment, don’t be! We can assure you that you are in the best and safest hands at Caci. You can ask any questions before/during treatment and the Caci team are there for you post treatment too. We got you!
After your treatment
- After treatment your skin may be pink or red at the treatment site. This is normal and should go away within 15-20 minutes.
- Avoid lying down, rubbing or massaging the area for at least 2 hours after the treatment.
- Bruising is possible, you can apply Hirudoid cream (from most chemists) which may help to shorten the duration of the bruise.
- No strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot tubs for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid makeup for 4–6 hours after treatment.
- Avoid active skincare for 5–7 days post-treatment.
- Apply SPF 30+ daily.
- Apply cold compresses intermittently for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling.
As always, get in touch with your clinic if you have any concerns or questions at all.
